பழம் தமிழர்கள் இந்து சமயம் கூறுகின்ற வழிபாட்டு முறைகளை நம்பிக்கையுடன் முழு மனதோடு ஏற்று வழிபட்டார்கள். தற்கால இளம் சமுதாயத்தினர் மெய்ஞானம் கூறுகின்ற விடயங்களை விஞ்ஞானத்துடன் தொடர்புபடுத்தி விளக்கும்பொழுதே அவற்றை ஏற்றுக்கொள்கிறார்கள். இக்கால இளைஞர்களின் எதிர்பார்ப்புகளை மனதில் கொண்டு அவர்களுக்கு விளங்கக்கூடிய வகையில் இந்நூல் வெளிவருகின்றது.

The ancient Tamils embraced and practiced Hindu religious rituals with wholehearted devotion, driven by a faith rooted in fear.
